Import

Import lets you import Globalyzer projects and/or scans that you or somebody within your development team has exported. The Import menu has three submenus:

  • Import Project...
  • Import Scan...
  • Include Scan Results

Import Project...: This option opens an Open File dialog that lets you select a Globalyzer project file (.gproj) to import into Globalyzer. The project and all its scans will be imported.

Import Scan...: This option opens an Open File dialog that lets you select a Globalyzer scan file (.gscan) to import into your currently selected Globalyzer Project.

Include Scan Results: When this option has a checkmark next to it, the imports you make will include the full scan results rather than just scan settings. This works for imports of scans as well as full projects. This setting will be ignored if there are no scan results in the imported project.

Export

Export lets you export your Globalyzer projects and/or scans so that they can be imported by you or somebody else on your development team. The Export menu has three submenus:

  • Export Project "projectName"
  • Export Scan "scanName"
  • Include Scan Results

Export Project "projectName": This option opens a Save File dialog that lets you select a name and location of a Globalyzer project file (.gproj) to export the named project into. The project and all its scans will be exported.

Import Scan...: This option opens a Save File dialog that lets you select name and location of a Globalyzer scan file (.gscan) to export the currently active scan into.

Include Scan Results: When this option has a checkmark next to it, the exports you make will include the full scan results rather than just scan settings. This works for exports of scans as well as full projects.

Backup Globalyzer Data...

Opens a Save File dialog that lets you select a name and location of a Globalyzer backup file (.gbak) that will hold all your Globalyzer projects, scans, and settings. We recommend that you frequently back up your work in an external location, just like you would any ordinary work data. Note that this option will NOT back up the source files Globalyzer is set up to scan and work on, nor will it back up resource files or generated reports.

Restore Globalyzer Data...

This option opens an Open File dialog that lets you select a .gbak file from a previous Globalyzer backup. It will restore the projects, scans, and settings stored in this file. This option will replace ALL currently stored information in your database, so make sure you don't have projects that should not be overwritten before you use this option.

Exit

Exits Globalyzer. Before Globalyzer exits, you are prompted to save any open, modified files.
